Northern Michigan woman attacks man with toilet cleaner

PENINSULA TOWNSHIP, MI – A Northern Michigan woman is facing charges after allegedly assaulting a man with toilet bowl cleaner and other household cleaning products, WPBN/WGTU reports.

Grand Traverse Sheriff’s deputies responded around 7 p.m. Saturday to a Peninsula Township home after receiving reports of the incident, the report said.

The 62-year-old woman told deputies that the man had beaten her up, the report said. He said the woman had been violent recently. Deputies found that the woman had taken the victim’s cell phone. The victim also had a white powdery substance on him, which was determined to be rust stain remover. Bottles of other household cleaners were found.

The woman was arrested, the report said. She is charged with assault.
