I live in a jungle treehouse

Dec 24, 2023

A TREEHOUSE dwelling TikToker showed how she lives off the grid but in style.

"Alright, a little mini treehouse tour this morning," announced the jungle homeowner excitedly.

The full-time forest inhabitant pointed out all of the treehouse's cozy comforts of home.

"Here's my backdoor, we've got these beautiful four-foot by seven-foot windows in here," said Kelli (@treehousechicks), as viewers got a glimpse of the wood paneling features, and expansive nature views.

Kelli explained that the brightness of the home was due to how the windows "really brought in the sunlight."

Throughout the home, followers got a peek at her wooden desk, and shelves covered in books, knickknacks, and supplies, as well as string lights around the sun-soaked windows.

She also showed her front door which led to a set of stairs - and where her cat was perched outside.

Next on the treehouse tour was another large window looking out onto more wild trees, and forestry.

"This is where KB's cabin is going to be," she explained.

A close-up view of her printer also showed that she still had some modern technologies even while living off the grid.

Followers then got a chance to go outside as she opened up a screen door where there was a miniature basketball hoop, and some clothes left out to dry.

"I used to have the ladder coming up right here," she said, as she pointed to a ladder that was now lying on the ground.

"But instead, I built stairs," she continued.

She walked all the way down until she got to the porch area where she touched a makeshift cover: "It gets all wet because this is just plastic, and it's got holes in it now, but we're working on it."

Other items strewn around the Tarzan chic home included dishes and a yellow-covered box that she explained was for the refrigerator that they just got.

Living off the grid comes complete with an outdoor shower, which she gave a sneak peek of as she stood over the silver showerhead.

Forest living might not be for the faint of heart, but the stylish jungle chic shower featured stone slabs over some decorative rocks.

She then proceeded to show the best part: "There's the view of the shower - or from the shower," she explained.

The showers' surroundings were indeed full of lush greenery all around.

As the tour continued back inside, she was greeted by a tail-wagging dog as she entered the kitchen area.

"We built this about a year ago in March of last year, before that it was just the treehouse, and my kitchen was on the floor, underneath," she said as she showed shelves of fruit and cooking items.

Her brand-new fridge, and oven soon came into view, though she explained some trials and tribulations of treehouse living: "I'm working on getting a new oven cause only the stovetop works."

A double sink also faced a window, and a shelf above-housed glass jars and cups.

As she zoomed in on the window, viewers got a look at her outhouse before she went back down the stairs, where this time another, white and brown spotted dog, was sitting.

"We got storage, and solar stuff under there, all my tools, a freezer, here's my catchment tank, it's half full right now," she said as she showed off her jungle-survivor supplies.

The tour also included an outside view of the shower, where there stood a wooden half-enclosure, giving the occupant the chance to be immersed in nature.

"This used to be under my kitchen so it's all stained from oil, I gotta restain it," she said, pointing to the wooden shower slabs.

There was also a half-moon with cut-out stars, and dangling bells hanging from the top of the shower.

She then gave one final view of the forest, and outside of the home where the dogs were now looking out curiously.

Many of the TikToker's almost 60,000 Treehouse fans expressed their awe at her home life:

"Sister, you are living the dream!" exclaimed one viewer.

"I am so envious," said another follower.
